Dr. Martin Luther King Remembrance Celebration: 2:00 pm-3:00 pm

Join us for an inspiring celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. There will be music and singing, sharing of quotes, and information on how to get involved in your community. All are welcome, and translation will be provided in Spanish. This event is non-partisan and interfaith.

Our Town Matters, 501 E. Main St.
All students in grades K-12 are invited to display their original art (coloring pages, drawings, paintings, sculptures, photography and more for the community to see. The students displaying their art will have the ability to win a $50 gift card! Also, the public, private and/or home school association of the participating students could also receive a donation of $250 to be used on the program of their choice or to host a class/school party.

Film Screening: John Lewis: Good Trouble: 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

The film offers an intimate account of legendary U.S. Representative John Lewis’ life, legacy, and more than 60 years of extraordinary activism. John Lewis was the teenage son of Alabama sharecroppers when he first met Martin Luther King Jr. and was one of the last surviving members of King’s inner circle. A film by Dawn Porter. Film length 97 minutes.

Healthy Rhythm Art Gallery, 33 N Uncompahgre Ave.
Healthy Rhythm will host an Open Mic Poetry/Spoken Word event to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his legacy. Come and express yourself by sharing poetry, slam poetry, or any other form of word art. Experience the power of expression through words.
